Some teams win with style, while others win with nerve. The first kind earns highlight packages, but the second kind tends to win over a fan base, because those games feel like they could slip away at any moment. Cleveland has seen plenty of seasons where they did. This year’s Browns keep finding a way to hang on, and after Sunday, everyone was talking about how clutch they have become.
Geraldo Rivera, the longtime television journalist and well-known Browns fan, summed up the reaction.
“Browns are rolling. 5-2 The Kardiac Kids are back, incredible poise under pressure. Go Browns,” Rivera said.

You can't kill the #Browns. They won't go away. It's legitimately incredible. Different circumstances each time and they keep finding ways.

The finish followed a familiar script. With the game tied at 24 in the final minutes, Deshaun Watson moved the offense into range, and Andre Szmyt made a 32-yard field goal with 3 seconds left to beat the Tennessee Titans 27-24.
For Watson, it was his 5th game-winning drive of the season, the most in the NFL. Every one of Cleveland’s wins has needed one, and all 5 were decided by 4 points or fewer, for a combined margin of just 16 points.
For Szmyt, it was the 3rd time this season he has decided a game in the final seconds. He made a 56-yarder with 10 seconds left against the Pittsburgh Steelers and a 37-yarder as time expired against the Baltimore Ravens. On Sunday, he did it after missing a field goal earlier in the game.
The stakes are about to rise. The Steelers also won Sunday, beating the New Orleans Saints 16-10, so both teams are 5-2 heading into their rematch in Pittsburgh. Cleveland holds the tiebreaker from the Week 4 win, but a loss would give it away.
If that game comes down to the final possession, few teams are better prepared for it than these Browns.
