Last week, the Cleveland Browns overcame high winds and an early storm to beat the Houston Texans.
This week, the Browns battled rain throughout the day in a 22-17 victory over the Philadelphia Eagles.
Between both of those contests, many have described the Browns’ wins as “ugly.”
When speaking to reporters after the victory on Sunday, Kevin Stefanski took issue with the description of the wins.
“There’s no such thing as an ugly win,” Stefanski said. “That was a beautiful win.”

Stefanski makes a great point in that, in the end, it’s all about wins and losses.
And it doesn’t matter whether they are perceived as “ugly.”
Quarterback Baker Mayfield agrees.
“We’re worried about the singular focus. A win is a win and we’ll take it however we get there, we’ll take it,” Cleveland quarterback Baker Mayfield said on Sunday. “So, defense playing lights out — you might call it ‘ugly’ but Coach Stefanski called it ‘beautiful’ after the game. Complementary football is what we needed to accomplish that win today.”
No matter how sloppy the game was, this is the type of game the Browns needed to win.
The defense deserves a lot of credit as they stepped up while missing Defensive Player of the Year candidate Myles Garrett.
Olivier Vernon dominated his matchup with Jason Peters and had 3 sacks.

And for the second week in a row, they stepped up to the challenge and moved to 7-3 for the first time since 1994.
