It’s no secret that Odell Beckham Jr. and the Cleveland Browns haven’t been the best match since the star receiver joined the team ahead of the 2019 season.
Beckham, 27, made several cryptic tweets on Friday ahead of the Browns’ Week 4 matchup on Sunday against the Dallas Cowboys.
“Sometimes I wonder if I want this shxt too much…” Beckham wrote in one of the tweets.

After a dismal performance against the Baltimore Ravens in Week 1 — three receptions on 10 targets for 22 yards — Beckham has made the most of his opportunities in the Browns’ two wins.
Beckham had four receptions on six targets for 74 yards and a touchdown in the Browns’ 35-30 win over the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 2.
He also had four receptions on six targets for 59 yards in the team’s 34-20 win over the Washington Football Team in Week 3.
Through three games in the 2020 season, Beckham is averaging career lows with 3.7 catches per game, 51.7 receiving yards per game and a 50% catch percentage.
Quarterback Baker Mayfield has a better rapport with receiver Jarvis Landry.
Landry’s catch percentage is 62.9% during the past two seasons, whereas Beckham’s is 54.8%.
Beckham has not surpassed 100 yards receiving in his last 13 games played dating back to last season.
Oct. 13, 2019, marked Beckham’s last 100-yard receiving game when he had six catches for 101 yards in a 32-28 loss to the Seattle Seahawks.
Beckham’s only other 100-yard game in a Browns’ uniform came in a six-catch, 161-yard performance on Sept. 16, 2019, in a 23-3 win over the New York Jets.
Beckham’s teams have a 9-17 record in games where he has at least 100 yards receiving.
Most importantly, the Browns’ 2-1 record marks the franchise’s first winning record since December 2014.
First-year head coach Kevin Stefanski has a propensity to run the football, especially if his play calling in 2019 as the Minnesota Vikings offensive coordinator is any indication.
The Vikings ran the ball at the third-highest frequency in the NFL behind only the Baltimore Ravens and the San Francisco 49ers.
Stefanski calls the Browns’ offensive plays.
Through three games in the 2020 season, the Browns run the ball on 52.66% of their offensive plays, which is the second-highest rate in the NFL behind the Los Angeles Rams.
In November 2014, the Browns had a 7-4 record, only to lose the remaining five games of the season to finish 7-9.
Throughout the offseason, there were rumors whether the Browns would trade Beckham.
However, the Browns front office led by Andrew Berry and company insisted they are not interested in trading Beckham.
If the Browns do decide to deal Beckham, the NFL trade deadline is 4 p.m. ET Thursday, Oct. 29.
The Browns are trying to make the postseason for the first time since the 2002 season.
It’s the longest active playoff drought in the NFL and the second-longest in North American professional sports.
Working in the Browns’ favor is the league’s decision to expand the playoff format to seven teams per conference.
Even if the Browns miss the playoffs in 2020, the Seattle Mariners will continue to have North America’s longest active playoff drought after missing the MLB postseason this year.
The Mariners last made the playoffs in 2001.
