The Cleveland Browns announced positive Covid tests for Nick Chubb and Demetric Felton.
Both players are isolating as contact tracing takes place.
Chubb and Felton are both fully vaccinated.
Browns’ RBs Nick Chubb and Demetric Felton tested positive for COVID-19, sources tell ESPN.
Both players are vaccinated, thus their status for Sunday’s game against New England remains in question. Each player would need two negative tests 24 hours apart to play.

And there is no report that either is symptomatic.
That means each player still has a chance to play on Sunday versus the Patriots.
They need 2 negative Covid tests to return to the active roster.
Most, if not all, of the Cleveland Browns starters, are also vaccinated.

Vaccinated players do not need to isolate as a result of close contact with infected individuals.
Unless more players test positive during the week, the rest of the roster remains intact.
D-Ernest Johnson reportedly tested negative and is vaccinated.
Best Case Scenario For The Browns
Reports did not indicate whether the positive tests were the rapid test or verified secondary tests.
There have been a good amount of false positives on the more-sensitive rapid tests recently.
In that case, Chubb and Felton could have a negative PCA test later today and tomorrow.
They could return to the practice field as early as Thursday.
Confirming that Nick Chubb and Demetric Felton have tested positive for COVID-19. Both are vaccinated but their status for Sunday is now in question.
With John Kelly on the Reserve/COVID-19 list, the #Browns are down to one running back: D'Ernest Johnson.

If the test turns out to be a false positive, no other players will test positive as a result.
Chubb and Felton merely get a couple of days of extra rest.
Meanwhile, the pair attends virtual meetings with the offense.
And they can receive any additions to the playbook for the Patriots game.
Worst Case Scenario For the Browns
In a worst-case scenario, the players become symptomatic and miss at least one game.
Kareem Hunt is still nursing his sprained knee and John Kelly is already on Covid reserve.
That leaves only D’Ernest Johnson available against the Patriots good rush defense.
Cleveland reported a 90-percent vaccination rate before final cuts back in August.
Browns also had another RB, John Kelly, go on the COVID-19/reserve list Monday. So with Kareem Hunt currently on injured reserve due to a calf injury, Cleveland is down to just one running back at the moment, D’Ernest Johnson.

Their vaccination rate is probably higher now, but not necessarily 100-percent.
Cleveland’s coaching staff is 100-percent vaccinated and at lower risk of serious disease.
But even in the worst case, Cleveland can probably field a full squad of vaccinated players.
And Chubb and Felton probably make it back in time to play against the Patriots.
