Cleveland Browns wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr has been on the Browns injury report every week of the season.
We have now have a clear reason why.
Odell Beckham Jr has been playing through a ‘serious and often painful‘ sports hernia according to NFL insider Ian Rapoport.
The hernia will require Beckham Jr to have offseason surgery.

Beckham talked about his injury status:
“[I’ve] been banged up all year since whatever happened in camp,” Beckham said. “Playing through whatever it is, just trying to make it through to Sunday. Any time Sunday comes around, I’m going to give the team everything I have.”
Sports hernias are often classified as groin or hip injuries.
Beckham Jr has played in all 12 games this season, despite being on the injury report every week.
He is on pace to have a career-low in production.
He also has more dropped passes than touchdowns this year.
Current browns running back Kareem Hunt had a similar surgery in August, and he has now fully recovered prior to being activated in November.
