It is Tuesday, February 1, 2022.
January ended yesterday with a similar theme as the entire 2021 NFL season for the Cleveland Browns.
There were a lot of opinions on social media about the Browns including two Hall of Fame wide receivers getting into the foray.
That is our top story for Tuesday’s Browns Nation news and notes.
1. Terrell Owens Weighs In On Beckham’s Success
It seems like it is open season to critique the Browns.
Former wide receiver Terrell Owens shared his thoughts while supporting his friend Odell Beckham Jr.
Congratulations to the @Bengals and @RamsNFL but EXTREMELY HAPPY for @obj!!! @browns @bakermayfield totally screwed that situation up!! In the words of @KendrickPerkins… #CarryTheHellOn

2. Shannon Sharpe Added His Two Cents Worth
If that was not enough, former wide receiver Shannon Sharpe felt the need to share his opinion.
In a tweet that was liked by Jarvis Landry, Sharpe wrote:
“What’s Skip and the H8Rs going to say now? OBJ 9 catches 113 yds making big catch after big catch. Let them tell it. It was his fault in Cleveland. He going to the SUPERBOWL with a chance to change his football life 4ever. Proud of you OBJ.”
I don't love seeing Jarvis Landry liking this tweet. #Browns pic.twitter.com/uPmKxIlI6U

3. Hue Jackson Day Is Thankfully Over
1-31 is known as Hue Jackson day for obvious reasons that no one wants to relive.
Jackson decided his day was a good time to dump on his former team by retweeting the following:
“Browns did all that tanking for years just to watch their interstate rival make it to the SB before them it’s a sick game.”

Conclusion
Two things can be taken from the Browns bashing on social media.
One is that Baker Mayfield‘s decision to take a social media break was the smartest thing he could do.
With two players who were not on the Browns when the OBJ stuff went down and one coach who was directly involved in some of this franchise’s worst moments having open season on the team, he does not need to see this.
Secondly, Andrew Berry, Kevin Stefanski, and everyone else have more than enough bulletin board material to motivate this team for 2022.
The 2022 Browns comeback will be even sweeter after all of this.
Happy Tuesday Browns Fans!
