It is Thursday, March 17, 2022, St. Patrick’s Day, and Cleveland Browns fans do not feel especially lucky.
They feel in a state of limbo not knowing or understanding what is happening behind closed doors with the team and the plans for the 2022 roster.
Here is the Thursday edition of Browns Nation news and notes.
1. Hanging With Mr. Cooper
Amari Cooper was in Berea on Wednesday.
During the 2022 season, he will be wearing the No. 2 jersey previously worn by Johnny Manziel and Tim Couch.
“I am really excited about joining the Cleveland Browns…They have a passionate fan base that I can’t wait to play in front of.
“Winning is the goal, that is what it is all about…I’m excited to come in, get to work and contribute to winning.”– Amari Cooper #Browns WR #2 pic.twitter.com/EY1XQBz3Ns

Cooper is happy to be in Cleveland.
“I’m excited to come in, get to work and contribute to winning.”
NFL Network’s Aditi Kinkhabwala said in her Tweet what we were all thinking.
You think Amari Cooper asked who his QB is going to be? #Browns
(Amari, if you did, and you got an answer… 📞 me!!)

Who is going to throw to Cooper in 2022?
2. Colin Cowherd Applaud’s Mayfield’s Smart Move
Amid a lot of different opinions about Baker Mayfield‘s Tuesday night Tweet to the fans and city of Cleveland, an unlikely person commends Mayfield’s smart decision to release it.
That is Colin Cowherd who said that Mayfield showing his vulnerability was wise for several reasons.
He tells Cleveland that he is grateful and gave them his all.
Other teams take note that he has matured and comes off as a class act in the midst of a lot of behind-the-scenes maneuvering that will impact him one way or the other.
"This is the single smartest thing Baker Mayfield has ever done."

3. Notable Browns Free Agents Still Available
Neither Jarvis Landry nor Jadeveon Clowney has been signed by another team yet.
Landry’s return is not going to happen, and the most recent team expressing interest in him is ironically the Atlanta Falcons, according to Dianna Russini of ESPN.
WR Jarvis Landry will visit the Atlanta Falcons, per sources.

As for Jadeveon Clowney, things have been quiet.
Could the Browns re-sign him?
Im starting to feel like a Jadeveon Clowney reunion isnt out of the cards #Browns

With so much attention on Deshaun Watson, it is concerning that the Browns still have holes to fill on the roster.
Hopefully, everything comes together and makes sense by the time July gets here.
Happy Thursday Browns Fans!
