Deshaun Watson’s Wife Gives Fans A Glimpse Into Their Lifestyle

Deshaun Watson may be able to read a defense, but the Cleveland Browns quarterback has a lot of trouble reading a room. His comments about the fan base after getting booed during a preseason game did nothing to repair his relationship with them.

Then, he blamed the media for putting unfair expectations on him. He is seemingly oblivious to how much the Browns gave up to acquire him, and how much they have paid him for 19 games of service over his first four seasons.

Now, his wife, Jilly Anais, is getting into the act, giving fans a glimpse into their lifestyle, which they are unlikely to receive with gratitude.

This is not to say that fans would begrudge anyone’s success. They understand the rules of professional sports and the outrageous salaries that go with it.

But considering how much they resent the $230 million the Browns have given Watson for very little in return, this display of excess will not go over well. Add to that the uncertain reception he is about to receive in the home opener on Sunday, and the timing could not have been worse.

In January, shortly after head coach Todd Monken was hired as Browns head coach, Anais used social media to jokingly suggest that the couple should move to Italy. She could not have known at the time how much faith Monken would have in her husband.

Watson used social media to announce his engagement and his July 2025 wedding to the Sports Illustrated swimsuit model. They had been dating since 2019, when Watson was with the Houston Texans, who eventually benched him and then traded him following multiple sexual assault allegations.

That sordid personal history is one of the many reasons Browns fans might continue to boo him facing the Carolina Panthers on Sunday, even though figures like Cleveland legend Hanford Dixon are pleading with them to be more receptive. It is a fascinating subplot to a game that maybe only the Browns could create.

With so many wives and girlfriends featured on NFL broadcasts lately, it will be interesting to see if Anais gets any airtime on Sunday, and what ensemble she’ll be wearing if she does.
