The Cleveland Browns are having a week, and the team is not even fortunate enough to be in the Super Bowl to attract all of this press.
First, there was former head coach Hue Jackson hitting the airwaves.
Now, there is news that former Browns GM Sashi Brown is making a career change.
First Hue, now Sashi. It's been quite the week for the 1-31 captains of the Titanic #Browns

What Sashi Brown Has Been Up To
Brown left the Browns and the NFL behind after five years with the team from 2013 to 2017.
He joined the NBA and served as the Washington Wizards chief planning and operations officer from 2019 to 2022.
Sashi Brown is leaving Monumental Sports and the Washington Wizards to return to the NFL as an executive with the Baltimore Ravens, sources tell me and @AdamSchefter. Brown had previously been the Cleveland Browns GM.

In a strange twist of irony, the 45-year-old Brown is coming back to the NFL and specifically the AFC North to join the Baltimore Ravens front office.
Brown is slated to become the next president of the Ravens.
Dick Cass, the Ravens president for the past 18 years, announced his retirement at the end of the 2021 NFL season.
Mary Kay Cabot of cleveland.com points out an even bigger irony with Brown’s return to football.
He is joining the team that used to be the Cleveland Browns.
Sashi Brown once ran the #Browns, and now he takes over as president of the Baltimore Ravens, the team that used to be the Browns https://t.co/2oo1LtGGf4

Browns Fans React To Sashi Brown Joining The Ravens FO
Sashi Brown’s return to the NFL did not go unnoticed by Browns fans.
Here is a sampling of their posts.
Absence clearly makes the heart fonder as many predicted when Brown left the Browns and the NFL behind that he would never get a job in football again.
We now know that is not true.
All of the pundits who said Sashi Brown will never get another NFL position are officially wrong.

The numbers do not lie.
Browns’ last stint in the NFL was not a success.
#NFL The ma who oversaw the 1-27 #Browns record under the now infamous #HueJackson Era, #SashiBrown takes over as President of the #Ravens.https://t.co/5NZCr3DoER

Disbelief is also a common reaction.
Sashi Brown to the ravens 🤦🏽 #Browns

Hopefully, with Hue Jackson changing his story multiple times this week and Sashi Brown firmly entrenched in the Ravens organization, there are no more former Browns coaches and front office members from that nearly winless era who pop up in the news anytime soon.
