The front office made upgrading on the defensive side a focal point this offseason.
The NFL Draft hasn’t even arrived and the Cleveland Browns defense is already looking much better.
Superstar defensive end Myles Garrett is excited about the potential of this defense.
He believes the Browns defense will be better and possibly even dangerous with the addition of Jadeveon Clowney.
“We’ll be very scary,” Garrett said.

The two-time Pro Bowl pass rusher hopes that the addition of Clowney will give this team a significant boost in 2021.
Garrett & Clowney
Both players are former No. 1 overall picks from their draft class.
Garrett has quickly become one of the best defensive ends in the entire league.
The 25-year-old does believe that having Clowney coming off the edge will make opposing quarterbacks a little more nervous.
“I know everyone else is looking forward to it, and so am I,” Garrett said of Clowney’s arrival, which has pushed soaring expectations for the Browns higher after their playoff appearance last season.
Cleveland signed the three-time Pro Bowl pass rusher to a one-year deal worth $10 million.
However, a majority of the salary is incentive based, which is a smart decision by the front office.
Clowney has put together back-to-back disappointing campaigns.
Although, he does have two nine or more sack seasons under his belt as well.
There is no denying that Clowney has the potential to be a real threat on this Browns roster.
“I know the guy is aggressive, really gets after it and he has a motor: keeps attacking, plays the run well and a good pass-rusher,” Garrett said. “He’s an athletic specimen like someone I know on the Browns, so it will be fun.”
The injuries have taken a toll on him, but Clowney has the ability to be a Pro Bowl caliber player.
Garrett knows that this defense does look stronger on paper with the addition of Clowney.
This unit as a whole is looking much stronger than they did a season ago.
Garrett is right, this defense could very well be scary in 2021.
Honestly, the Browns defense could end up being one of the best in the league.
