It is Thursday, March 24, 2022, and this week has been relatively quiet for the Cleveland Browns compared to last week.
The fallout from the Deshaun Watson trade is ongoing as is the uncertainty surrounding Baker Mayfield‘s NFL future.
Here is the Thursday edition of the Browns Nation news and notes.
1. Myles Garrett Is Named Cleveland Sports Athlete Of The Year
This news should not come as a surprise to anyone.
Myles Garrett was named the Professional Athlete of the Year at the 22nd Greater Cleveland Sports Awards.

2. Greg Newsome Reacts To Watson Trade
Browns players have been silent throughout the past week.
They are likely absorbing the flow of information and abrupt change in course with Deshaun Watson like the rest of us.
Greg Newsome II is among the first to respond.
He expressed his excitement to work with Watson and desire to improve the Browns from their 8-9 record in 2021.

Newsome declined to comment about Watson’s off-the-field issues.
Appearing at the Greater Cleveland Sports Awards, he told Mary Kay Cabot that he could not speak to those issues because he does not know anything about them.
“I mean, that’s not a comment I should make at all. “I don’t know anything about it, so I’m just going to stay away from that.’’
3. JJ3 Talks OBJ’s Return
On his Instagram Live, John Johnson III hints that Odell Beckham Jr. is rejoining the Browns.
This is most likely wishful thinking on his part; OBJ is currently recovering from a torn ACL suffered in the Super Bowl.
The #Browns John Johnson III saying on Instagram live that OBJ is coming back. Still the most hilarious potential outcome. https://t.co/wGODD6C7al

Beckham is currently a free agent.
It also seems highly unlikely that the Andrew Berry and Kevin Stefanski team would want to go through more with OBJ after the 2021 disaster that led to his mid-season exodus from the team.
Happy Thursday Browns Fans!
