It seems the Cleveland Browns can never escape being a laughing stock of the NFL.
But, now some analysts are even comparing the Browns’ ways to teams in separate sports.
This was very much clear on Thursday night when TNT’s Charles Barkley was discussing the drama surrounding the Philadelphia 76ers.
Barkley picked the 76ers to be the Eastern Conference team to reach the NBA Finals this season.
Barkley made a comparison to the Cleveland Browns in which they fell short of high expectations last season.
“I picked the Sixers to get to the Finals,” Barkley said during TNT’s ‘Inside the NBA’ on Thursday night. “I think they are the softest, mentally weakest team that had a bunch of talent. They are the Cleveland Browns of the NBA. They got a lot of talent, and they talk the talk, and that’s it.”

Barkley’s comments came after the Milwaukee Bucks beat the Sixers 112-101 on Thursday night.
“They came out telling everybody how good they were going to be,” Barkley said of the Browns. “Then they got punched in the mouth Game 1 and got punched for the rest of the season. The Philadelphia 76ers, my preseason pick to get to the NBA Finals, they’re just talk.”
76ers center Al Horford eluded to some “stuff going on” inside the locker room earlier this week.
“Like I say from time to time, you don’t know what you’re getting,” Embiid said Wednesday, via ESPN. “I don’t know if I’m getting into the game and if I’m getting the ball or not.
“Spacing is an issue. Sometimes we play fast, sometimes we play slow. But at the end of the day, when you think about it and as we try to get ready for the playoffs, the game slows down. It becomes a half-court game, and that’s where we struggle the most.”
The Browns entered 2019 with much hype and an impressive amount of talent.
Despite this, they finished 6-10, missed the playoffs, and fired their head coach and general manager.
Jarvis Landry recently discussed what went wrong with the Browns in 2019 on the Fox show Undisputed.
“Communication. It’s the biggest thing” Landry answered when asked by Skip Bayless what the team’s primary problem was. “When you don’t have everybody on the same page at all times, it can definitely screw a lot of things up. I was a part of it and you guys saw.”
