Deshaun Watson is receiving recognition and plaudits that are well-deserved, with the Cleveland Browns off to one of the best starts in franchise history. The Browns are in first place in the AFC North, and the quarterback is gaining momentum as the potential Comeback Player of the Year.
But perhaps the greatest acknowledgements are coming from those who are close to him and have been by his side throughout his two-year recovery from multiple Achilles injuries. That is why a kind gesture by his wife is making the rounds on social media.
Jilly Anais had a surprise waiting for Watson after Sunday’s win against the Tennessee Titans, making him a treat for his return from Nashville.
“Browns QB Deshaun Watson’s wife Jilly Anais surprised him with his FAVORITE homemade chocolate chip banana bread after his big win yesterday,” MLFootball posted.

In the video, Anais is wearing a Watson jersey from his college days at Clemson. She can be seen slicing the banana bread and gushing about how perfect it looks. Watson then arrives holding their pet dog, and the couple shares a taste, with the QB saying, “That’s fire, baby,” before a fist-bump.
Watson and Anais, a former Sports Illustrated swimsuit model, reportedly began dating in 2019, which precedes the sexual assault allegations from multiple massage therapists while he was with the Houston Texans. So the couple has been through some very tough times together.
They announced their engagement in March 2025 and were married that July. The couple has chronicled their relationship on social media throughout their journey, which has taken an unexpected turn with Watson’s renaissance with the Browns this season.
That is also thanks to the confidence head coach Todd Monken had in him and the accountability he has demanded from the 31-year-old. The two men had a heart-to-heart conversation after Watson’s troubling comments about Browns fans during the preseason, and it has set the stage for Cleveland’s most successful season in years.
Watson has led five game-winning fourth-quarter drives to account for all of the Browns’ victories, including their 27-24 triumph against the Titans, which earned him some delicious downtime before gearing up to face the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 8.
