Grant Delpit Jokingly Asks Fans For Favor On Social Media

Second-round safety Grant Delpit has been unable to suit up for the Cleveland Browns this season.

He was placed on the injured reserve during training camp after suffering a torn right Achilles tendon.

It was a tough blow to the Browns secondary before the season even started.

Delpit still has a sense of humor even after having his rookie season ruined by injury.

He jokingly went on social media and asked fans to vote him into the Pro Bowl.

To be fair, the young safety has not allowed a catch all season, which is quite impressive.

Fans can cast their Pro Bowl ballots here.

All jokes aside, the Browns certainly do miss the presence of Delpit on defense.

Losing Delpit

The Browns secondary has been banged up since the beginning of training camp.

Both Delpit and defensive back Greedy Williams have not taken a snap all season long.

The absence of Delpit has forced veteran Andrew Sendejo into a starting role.

To put it nicely, Sendejo has been below average thus far.

At least Browns fans can get a good laugh watching Sendejo on the field every Sunday.

The good news is, Delpit is expected to be ready to play by the start of next season.

This team could certainly use the young safeties presence in the backfield.

Somehow, the Browns have found a way to go 8-3 with an injury-riddled secondary.

Multiple defenders such as Myles Garrett and Denzel Ward deserve plenty of credit and Pro Bowl votes for the way they’ve performed this season.

Although, maybe Delpit can pull off a Yao Ming and make the Pro Bowl/All-Star team without contributing to the team.

The former Houston Rockets center landed himself in the All-Star game despite only playing five games during the 2010 season.

Who knows, maybe Delpit’s presence off the field has been what rallied this Browns roster.
