ESPN “Get Up” host Mike Greenberg picked Baker Mayfield as the most likely among the quarterbacks in the 2018 NFL Draft class to win Super Bowl 56.
Greenberg’s comments came with a caveat.
“If you were just choosing amongst the three quarterbacks, you might take Baker Mayfield last, but I would take his team first,” Greenberg said. “I will take the Cleveland Browns and Baker Mayfield to be the likeliest one to (win Super Bowl 56).”
Here’s how the fellow “Get Up” analysts selected: Sam Acho took Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson while Jeff Darlington and Damien Woody picked Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen.
“I have great respect for the Bills and what they built and all the talent they have on their team,” Greenberg said. “And obviously, the Ravens are really good, but I think if you just look at the names and the backs of the jerseys, and the Browns might be the most talented team in the entire AFC and that’s inclusive of everyone.
“I think they take a step forward this year particularly with the return of Odell (Beckham Jr.).”

Greenberg posted a poll to his Twitter page asking his followers which quarterback is most likely to win the Super Bowl among Mayfield, Allen and Jackson.
The poll garnered 16,745 votes with Allen getting the majority of the votes with 62.6%.
Mayfield got 24.5% and Jackson got 12.9%.

Last week, the Bills signed Allen to a six-year deal worth up to $258 million with $150 million guaranteed.
While Mayfield and Jackson have yet to sign contract extensions beyond the 2022 season, many people expect them to earn a similar amount as the $43 million per season average that Allen is due to make.
Greenberg has praised the Browns throughout the offseason.
In July, Greenberg picked the Browns to win the AFC North in the 2021 season.
The Browns haven’t won a division title since the 1989 season.
In May, Greenberg also predicted that the Browns would upset the Kansas City Chiefs in week one of the regular season.
Greenberg has also called the Browns the “biggest threat” to the Chiefs in the AFC.
ESPN’s NFL Football Power Index gives the Browns a 40.1% chance to win the AFC North, a 10.3% chance to make Super Bowl 56 and a 5.3% chance to win the big game.
