It seems the Cleveland Browns continue to make more off the field headlines this year than they do on the field.
Cleveland Browns Quarterback Baker Mayfield‘s wife Emily Mayfield was not happy about a question that came from a Browns beat reporter after Sunday’s loss
Emily Mayfield called out Cleveland beat reporter May Kay Cabot over her question in regards to Freddie Kitchens wearing a “Pittsburgh Started It” t-shirt over the weekend before the game.
Emily took to social media to express this frustration with the reporter.
She said:
“Why is this the focus of your questions? 🤔 MUCH more to focus on than that…. @MaryKayCabot,” Emily tweeted Sunday night in response to Cabot’s post, which noted that Kitchens would wear the polarizing shirt again.

Cabot responded to the tweet tweeting: “I asked exactly one t-shirt question after the game. I asked Baker what he thought of it, and he defended Kitchens, which I thought was pretty cool. He gave a great answer, saying ‘I’ve done much worse.’ Funny, and struck the right note.”

Browns fans also got involved in the exchange between Emily Mayfield and Mary Kay Cabot and said:
Please Mrs. Baker enlighten all of us as to what the focus should be on? Questionable play calling, veterans missing practice, inability to get the ball to playmakers, inability to have guys coming off injury and know the playbook, poor clock management? Where should we focus?

Emily Mayfield replied,”Football would be a good start.”
Mayfield was 18 of 32 with 1 touchdown and 1 interception in Sunday’s loss to the Steelers.
Mayfield said the team has to “get back to a singular focus” in regards to their playoff hopes.
The Browns host the Cincinnati Bengals on Dec 8th and look to get back on track.
