Rumors continue to swirl about the Cleveland Browns offering Jadeveon Clowney many different types of deals, including the most recent report of a one-year contract.
Meanwhile, the organization is in a positive situation regarding its salary cap.
According to Over The Cap, the team’s remaining cap space is $37,270,920.
According to Spotrac, the Browns have the most cap space available among the “Top 51” players.
Spotrac also states that Cleveland’s total cap space is the second-highest in the NFL.
Now, with the Browns interested in several players, let us take a look at the players that they can sign before the 2020 NFL season starts:
The Browns Can Sign Jadeveon Clowney
While the Browns are thinking about how much money they should be offering Myles Garrett, they may also be able to lure Clowney to Cleveland with a large contract as well.
Jadeveon Clowney’s Career Stats
• 6 Seasons (75 Games)
• 236 Tackles
• 80 QB Hits, 71 TFL
• 32 Sacks
• 14 PD, 1 INT
• 8 FF, 8 FR
• 4 Touchdowns
• 3x Pro Bowler, 1x All-Pro pic.twitter.com/jyGVWO95U1— NFL Stats (@NFL_Stats) April 11, 2020
While Clowney’s potential deal will not reach the length or the heights of Garrett’s potential mega-deal, it will be an important one.
Plenty has been discussed about the Browns and Clowney, but no one is sure that Clowney will land in Cleveland.
Browns fans were surprised by the fact that Clowney may not want to play for their team.
The six-year NFL veteran played his first and most likely last year with the Seattle Seahawks in 2019.
In 2019, he was ranked No. 63 in the NFL Top 100.
He also was the NFL Defensive Player of the Week in Week 10 of the 2019 season.
The 8-2 Seahawks defeated the visiting San Francisco 49ers, who had won each of their first eight games to begin the season.
In the contest, Clowney had five quarterback hits, and he forced a fumble on a sack of Jimmy Garoppolo.
He also recovered a fumble that he ran 10 yards for the first Seahawks score of the game in the 27-24 overtime victory.
The Browns Can Sign Cam Newton
Well, Cam Newton has just attracted some attention from Browns fans:

With Odell Beckham Jr. catching passes from Newton, the chance of the Browns signing Cam Newton just increased:
ESPN analysts Dominique Foxworth and Marcus Spears think that Browns should sign the former Carolina Panthers quarterback.
Although Newton played just two games in 2019, he could serve as an intriguing backup for the 2020 Browns.
Newton recently had a winning record in 2017 for the 11-5 Panthers.
Although he could not lead Carolina to a playoff win that season, he does have three career postseason wins in his career.
With his playoff experience and many years of impressive work at the quarterback position, the Browns would be very strong at quarterback with Baker Mayfield, Newton, and Case Keenum
The Browns Can Sign Everson Griffen
At 32 years old, Everson Griffen remains a free agent after playing from 2010 to 2019 with the Minnesota Vikings.

Griffen, who is seemingly a cheaper option than Clowney, is a four-time Pro Bowler and most recently received the honor last season.
Although Griffen was not ranked in the NFL Top 100 in 2019, he was ranked No. 19 in 2018.
Griffen’s 74.5 sacks are the 15th-most among active players in the league.
Although Kevin Stefanski was working with the offensive unit during his long tenure with the Vikings, he most likely would welcome being reunited with Griffen.
The Browns Can Sign Larry Warford
According to NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport, former New Orleans Saints guard Larry Warford is expecting $7 million in free agency.
The Browns can sign Warford, but should they?
The #Saints have released veteran Right Guard Larry Warford.
The #Browns have many options at RG this season but could benefit from adding a seasoned vet.

The Detroit Lions drafted Warford No. 65 overall in the third round of the 2013 NFL Draft.
The Saints cleared much-needed cap space by releasing the 6-3, 317-pound right guard.
In 2014, Warford helped Stafford make his only Pro Bowl.
In 2016, Stafford had eight game-winning drives, the most for a player in one season in NFL history.
Cleveland can easily find a way to sign Warford and add another player in free agency as well.
If the Browns play their offseason cards correctly and add both Warford and Griffen, Cleveland’s Super Bowl odds could skyrocket.
